h&m shirt, jacket // zara pants // diy feather earrings // casio mini watch

That's what I wore to a little house party last night. All black... I was uninspired after 9 hours of work. I did wear my own DIY feather earrings for the first time, though. Love them! I created almost a whole collection of earrings already. I'll surely show them to you soon!

Anyways. I had such a great Sunday! The bf and I decided that this Sunday would be 'couples day', so I sneaked out of bed early and created a festive breakfast (which turned into a brunch since we ate at noon...). We spent the afternoon at a spa which was just so relaxing! The hot springs were full of young families with their little babies. I bet we spent a good two hours just watching the little ones play in the water. God, were they cute! Haha. And no, we did not decide to have our own babies now ;)
Hope you all had a nice day, too!

h&m tee // diy/pieces pants // mango bag // primark sandals

So, here's a full version of yesterday's outfit. I went out with my bf and some friends to watch Harry Potter at the cinema. Enjoyed it a lot! And now it's all ovah. Boo-hoo! Yeah, I would've cried, probably..except the room was really packed with people, so.. I'm more prone to cry for movies when I'm at home. (another fun fact about me! haha)
Sorry for the weird photo of my feet. But I love those shoes - just had to show you in some way.
Have a good one!

DIY: rip those pants!

This is certainly not the most creative DIY project. But what do you do when you've got a pair of old pants in your closet and you realize you haven't worn them in a year? The lovely Victoria Törnegren inspired me to cut this big hole into them (pants are by Pieces/Vero Moda).
I've been getting looks for my outfit again..pheew. So there's a hole in my pants. On.my.knee. Is that really so sensational?!

How do you like it?

Full outfit post coming later.

H&M Fall 2011

photos by h&m

I don't want summer to be over, especially since I feel like it hasn't even started over here. BUT I received H&M's catalogue for autumn yesterday and I fell head over heels in love with the collection. Oh my, I can already see myself spending a little fortune on fashion for autumn.
How do you like the collection?

I see you

I have freckles under my eyebrows - how weird is that?
I though I'd show you my 'not so usual' eye make-up which basically consists of a brown eyeliner. I feel like it's a very good alternative to a black eyeliner, don't you?
My test felt surprisingly good today, hope I get a good grade... Anyways, I'll leave you with my eyes. Hope you don't feel like someone constantly stares at you ;)

Just two words...

Just stocking up on the little quote part a bit. It's just two words but when you think about it, it means a lot... Think: If you never aim high, you will never get anywhere near 'high'. Proper posts will follow soon ;) Even outfit posts, on that note. Exams will soon be over (won't turn out too great I guess), so there will be more action here.

It's an addiction

catrice limited edtion out of space #03 'beam me scotty!' - p2 limited edition 100% red #10 'vivid', #60 'amazing'

Yeah, when it comes to nailpolish, I just can't help myself. I love going to the drugstore and just buying random stuff from the makeup counter. But I think these shades do pretty much complete my collection, so I won't feel the need to shop any more bottles. Until my holiday in California, of course.

I'm sorry for the lack of outfit posts here, but I've been feeling somewhat under the weather lately. Dressing up hasn't been my number one priority this week.

Inspiration: Glamour Spain

Glamour Spain July 2011

Travelling seems to be all my folks are doing at the moment. So, when my mum recently got back from a (business!) trip to Spain, she brought me an issue of the spanish Glamour magazine. Lucky me, since I collect international Glamour mag. issues. I always find the photoshoots pretty inspiring. Those pictures speak for themselves. And, I mean, just look at that cover - I'm not into girls, but Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looks so darn hot!

New in: London shopping

hoodie Miss America - Glamour UK - canvas bags Primark - 'i heart london' tee souvenir shop - top Primark - union jack umbrella Susino

No, I did not secretly run off to London for a couple of days (sadly!). My mum and sister did (well, not secretly). They left me here drowning in envy... (yes, I'm a little bit dramatic) I just love London..I wish I could live there sometimes. But that's a different story.
The ladies were so kind to think of me when they went shopping in London town. I'm happy :) What do you think?

Photography: bumblebees and flowers

Photos: me

As I feel a bit sick since yesterday night (NO idea why!!), I couldn't really study today after I came home from my first test. I guess the test turned out ok, but I can't really say anything because..it always depends on how strict the person who checks it is. I hate that!
Well, whatever, I wasn't productive this afternoon, so I just lounged around here in my room. I also trained my non-existend photography skills a bit and took some pics on the balcony. You can see the results above. I think they look pretty nice (hey! consider my non-existent talent). I think bumblebees are so cute!! Don't you? One of them sat down for a while and I could even stroke it for a while. Haha, does that make me a weird person?

Hope you guys like the photos :) Let me know if you have any tips for me!

1. lately, the weather seems to have skipped summer,it's rather autumnish instead
2. i'm studying every day now as the next two weeks will be full of exams
3. how do you like my new nailpolish? (#47 by essence)

A short diary post since there isn't really that much going on in my life right now. I spend my days sitting at home, supposed to study. I made up a 'studying strategy' that works out just fine with me! Finally! I've found that it's useless to stress yourself out about studying. I work best when there's no pressure. So I just stopped thinking about it so much. It's not that I don't care, but I know that it will turn out all right. And if there's one test I can't pass - well,ok, I get 4 shots, so I'll just try next time.
Ever since I came across that theory (or whatever you want to call it), I happen to be able to memorize things way better. I also keep away from the library. It makes me feel awkward sitting there in silence. I need some little noise around me when I study. The library always makes me feel so tired...

So, yeah, since this is a diary post I thought I might as well write a little. Maybe some of you are in a similar situation and some story-telling could help. So, I wish you all a nice remaining Sunday. Without any pressure.

I've been thinking about sharing some of my favourite quotes with you for a while. I think good quotes can be really inspiring. How about you? Do you have any favourite quote yourself?

h&m blazer // gina tricot tee // diy necklace // pimkie pants

Do you know the feeling when the one thing you really have to do is the one and only thing you really can't do?
That's how I feel at the moment. Almost every day. Exams are coming up (next week!) and I just can't get myself to study. I mean, I do spend hours and hours in the library studying. But all that stuff doesn't really seem to reach my brain. Does anyone know what I mean?
That really frustrates me. I guess I'll fail at all the tests... Oh, boy.

h&m skirt & bralet // primark cardigan // koton bag // casio mini watch

Last night I went out with some friends and took the chance to 'test-drive' the bralet. How do you like my first attempt of styling it?
Please excuse my weird face, I have no idea what I was doing when the photo was taken haha.

Happy Sunday, everyone!

DIY: leopard cross tee

Here's what you need:
-plain tee in preferred colour
-some leopard-patterned fabric (20x40cm should be enough)
-pen, paper, scissors (for both paper and fabric), pins, needle + thread

How to do it:
1. draw a cross on a piece of paper, make sure it's the same size you want it to be on your t-shirt and also make sure it's symmetrical
2. cut out the cross (cut out a little more than your sketch suggests so your stitching will be neat) and use the pins to locate it on the t-shirt
3. start sewing the cross onto the t-shirt, make sure the open ends of the fabric don't show
...et voilĂ !

I guess I've told you before I'm not a great "do-it-yourself"-person nor do I sew that well (I guess I just wasn't born with that talent.boohoo). But since I've had so much of this lovely leopard fabric left, I wanted to try and make some DIY project out of it. I'm sure you all know this shirt from Urban Outfitters - it was obviously my inspiration for this DIY.
Hope it's useful to you!

h&m tee // zara skirt // new look belt

Today's outfit... I was in a bit of a hurry when i took these photos, so they look a bit weird (the skirt, like, doubles my hips in the first picture..not to mention my face haha). So the outfit looked somewhat better in reality than these photos suggest, but I really liked it so I had to share it anyways. Hope you can forgive me ;)

Daily Make-Up Routine

1. liquid make up base in '#1 light' by Max Factor // Maybelline Pure Mineral Powder in '#021 natural beige' // brush by Ebelin
2. powder blush in 'apricot' by Manhattan // bronze powder in '#02 warm glow' by The Body Shop
3. Rimmel London Colour Rush eyeshadow in '#300 spun gold' // eyeshadow '#090 bring me frosted cake' by Catrice // Perfect Stay Concealer in '#001' by Astor // eyeshadow base 'Perfect Eyes! Base' by P2
4. mascara 'multi action false lashes' by essence // lash curler from the drugstore
I thought I'd revive the beauty section of the blog a little bit. So this is my daily make-up routine. It might look like a lot, but it's rather simple (done in 10 minutes..no matter how tired I am) and looks pretty natural. It actually took a long time to find a liquid make-up in my skintone as my face it pretty pale.

Let me know if you like this post - I'd like to make posts on this sort of topic more often.

BTW: Is it me or do my eyes have different colours? (the left one a little greener and the right one slightly more blue...?)
