french connection sweater
bcbg jeans
casio mini watch

I feel like black & white photos are way too rare on my blog. So here's my first attempt in changing that. One good thing about the cold season is that I can wear all my lovely sweaters and knits again. I bought this sweater last winter and I just love it!

Outfits of Summer

I thought I'd put all my summer outftis together as a farewell to my favourite season.
Got a favourite?

zara top
h&m shorts, bag (old)

I know these photos are incredibly blurry, but I believe that's really the beauty of them. Especially because of the bright pink top, don't you think?
Aah, seeing these photos makes me really miss summer a lot. Wearing nothing but shorts and a top, walking through the waves...

"New" hair

It may not be visible at first sight, but I changed my hair a bit (again). I cut it a little and bleached the ends. I aimed for a more ombre look, but decided not to leave the bleach in too long, so now it looks like this. I was a little scared of bleaching my hair myself, at home, but it turned out great. No green or pink hair for me, yay!
I like it a lot now, since I was really bothered with the way it looked lately.

Levi's shorts
Esprit t-shirt
Tex by Max Azria/BCBG bag
Primark sandals

I finally got my hands on the photos my friend took with her camera. So, I'll share some of my last outfits from L.A. with you. These pictures were taken at our second visit to Universal Studios. Excuse the weird look on my face, but the sun was shining right at me, so it was hard to keep my eyes open.

L.A. shopping, part 2

-brown bag Forever 21
-black high heels BCBGeneration
-burgundy bag Tex by Max Azria/BCBG
-brown suede booties Sam Edelman

Part two, as promised. Thought I'd make this one all about shoes and bags. We actually stayed next to a BCBG outlet store. Can you believe the burgundy bag was only $9? Such a bargain!

h&m cardigan // levi's shorts

It feels like ages since I last posted an outfit. But since my camera is back, I'm trying hard to change that habit. I love being able to look back at outfits I once wore through the blog. So I'm planning to create more outfit posts in the future. Keeping my fingers crossed it works out ;) I'm getting really tired of my usual "photo room" (aka. the hallway next to my room..it's really narrow, so I have to stand so close to the camera), but my place doesn't really have any white walls.

Anyways, I love these shorts. Bought them in L.A. at a Levi's outlet. They're actually cut from original 501's and they make me feel like I finally found the perfect pair. How do you like them?

L.A. shopping, part 1

-rings from UO + venice beach market stall
-necklaces Forever21
-nail polishes American Apparel, Forever 21 + Sally's beauty supply

Hooray! I finally got my camera back. As soon as I came home from the store that day I began shooting my L.A. buys to show to you guys. I didn't buy thaaat much, yet still my luggage was 16 pounds overweight (WTF?!).

There's more to come, this is only the first part. But how do you like my picks so far?

Zalando Fashion-Flatrate

Zalando Fashion Flatrate

German online fashion+shoe store zalando has launched another major giveaway. The task is simple: create an outfit with items from their store. And you can possibly win a fashion flatrate (a huuuge gift card for a whole year, that is). You can see my entry above. I would definitely wear that outfit.

As it might appear to you through my outfits I dig blazers. And this one is so elegant but the black collar really gives it that twist.
As for the leather pants: need I say anything? They're just 'wow'. I have a thing for little black bags and the watch brings some extra elegance to the outfit.
Those shoes really are what the doctor ordered. Chelsea boots are it this fall and combined with a wedge-heel, they just look really cool.
On to the nailpolish: gold/metallic nailpolish will be hot during the cold season!
What's not to love?

Hope I win... Pretty please?!

Half moon manicure

I admit it: the first time I saw this type of manicure, I thought it looked like someone had a little bit of a health problem with their nails. But I really got into it. I mean, it's subtle, yet it has that elegance. And it's really fashion-forward, apparently.

How do you guys feel about the half moon manicure?

My scrapbook

A little while ago I started with the creation of a little personal scrapbook. It basically contains everything I stumble upon and like. There are recipes and book/film tips and of course loads of fashion, styling and beauty inspiration. There's also my favourite Shakespeare sonnet and our plans for L.A.

The book is far from being full and I'm looking forward to creating more contents to it. Hope you like the little insight.

F/W Knits

I'm really not a friend of this cold, windy, wet weather...BUT let's face it: fall is coming (and then winter, boohoo). One very positive side of the cold season are the beautiful knits that are waiting on the shelves for us this year ;)

I've made some picks above - how do you like those?

Round my wrist

I've got some nice bracelets in the US. The friendship bracelets are from the little street market at Venice Beach and the one with the silver details is from Forever 21.

I think they make a nice combination. They actually give every outfit that little twist. What do you think?

L.A./Universal Studios

Once in L.A., we had to visit Universal Studios. First of all, it gives very nice insight into the world of film-making. We even had a look at the actual set of the Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives (but my photos from there look like crap, sorry). The broken airplane you see in the second picture was actually designed for shooting War of the Worlds (and it also served as the scenery for Nicki Minaj & Rihanna's video for 'fly'). So cool!

They also have some rides there, like the Simpsons Ride, which is INSANE! If you're planning on going there, don't read this (spoiler alert)... You think you're going to a roller coaster of something but actually, you just sit there and the whole roller coaster is just happening on a wide screen in front of you. But, man, it feels so real! I felt damn sick after the ride... I'm not really a roller coaster kind of girl. And by 'not really' I mean not at all. Those things look like torture gadgets to me. Still, my friend dragged me along and made me go on that other ride which was soo fast and I was soo scared and I screamed so much, I lost my voice after that one.

So, if you're going to California or L.A. you definitely have to go and visit Universal Studios.
